Hydrosols

Organic Hydrosols from Quinessence are produced by water or steam distillation of the flower or herb, and not by the addition of essential oils or synthetics to water with alcohol. Also known as Hydrolats or Floral Waters, they contain the therapeutic properties of the plants from which they were made making them ideal for general skincare.

Chamomile German Hydrosol

Relaxing, reducing and soothing. In common with the essential oil from which it comes, German Chamomile Hydrosol is exceptionally soothing to irritated and problem skin.

Chamomile Roman Hydrosol

Eucalyptus Hydrosol

Fresh, Energising and Refreshing
With its lovely cool and fresh aroma, Eucalyptus hydrosol exhibits antiseptic and anti-oxidant properties which are helpful for treating all sorts of insect bites, grazes and minor cuts. Mixed with Melissa hydrosol it makes a highly effective insect repellent that can be sprayed on whilst outdoors.

Frankincense Hydrosol

Comforting, Uplifting and Soothing
An earthy, resinous fragrance slightly reminiscent of frankincense oil. This is a very useful hydrosol for all skin types since it has the ability to improve the texture and clarify skin.

Geranium Hydrosol

Lavender Hydrosol

Soothing toning and antiseptic. Produced from organic Lavender grown in the UK, this Hydrosol captures the full range of therapeutic properties found in Lavender oil. Particularly effective when used after over-exposure to the sun.

Melissa Hydrosol

Orange Blossom Hydrosol

Uplifting, refreshing and restoring.Orange Flower hydrosol has a natural hydrating and regenerating effect on the skin which makes it perfect for refreshing and reviving dull, tired skin.

Patchouli Hydrosol (Pogostemon patchouli)

Patchouli Hydrosol is excellent for use in both skin care and hair care. Again, this is Organically Grown.
The rich, sweet-earthy fragrance of the hydrosol is a much softer version of the deep, earthy scent of the essential oil. The hydrosol can be used in aromatherapy for stress related conditions, sexual dysfunction and nervous exhaustion. Patchouli Hydrosol can also be used alone or in formulations.

Peppermint Hydrosol

Cooling, astringent and refreshing. The cooling effect of Peppermint Hydrosol will refresh and invigorate at any time.

Rosemary Hydrosol
